# How many licenses do I need?
For **MeetingTrack**, you need one license per _active user_. Exactly who needs a license depends on how you deploy the system. Want to fully benefit from the time savings and collaboration MeetingTrack offers? Then we recommend giving **all colleagues** a license.
## ✅ License required for
Anyone who actively works in MeetingTrack, such as users who:
- Create or chair meetings
- Take minutes
- Create or edit tasks
- Log in and perform actions
## ❌ No license required for
- External guests (such as customers or suppliers)
- Colleagues who only follow up on tasks
- Colleagues who only attend meetings
- Users who do not create meetings or minutes themselves
## 💡 Advice
Do you want MeetingTrack to be widely adopted in your organization? Then ensure everyone has access. If all your colleagues have a license, MeetingTrack will become the standard for collaboration more quickly.
## ↗️ External participants (guests)
After invitation via their email address and checking the guest access box, guests can:
- See the meetings they have been invited to
- View tasks that are linked to them
They do not need a license for this.
You can enable guest access in the participants tab, or when wrapping up meetings you can tick the box to grant guest access.
